Atlassian Team Tour: Government 2022

Atlassian holds a yearly summit for government. The event helps public sector attendees learn how to create lasting, innovative changes within their agencies. Speakers share best practices, case studies, and updates to Atlassian’s public sector offerings. 

Atlassian is always looking to help their public sector partners stay ahead of the curve in innovative technologies. They knew not everyone would be able to attend each live session, so I was asked to turn each session into a condensed recap highlighting the most important points before the event aired. The final recaps would be sent to attendees and used as marketing and PR material.

This project required consuming, condensing, and effectively communicating key information from every session throughout the event. With 18 sessions in total and two weeks to complete the project, my team and I created a streamlined process to make sure nothing was missed. This included working with experts to determine the top three most important points to hit, then filling in an outline with other engaging points the audience would likely find useful in their own work. Content was drafted in batches with multiple checks at each point in the process to ensure the final recaps are a snapshot of updates and ideas each reader can apply to their own agency.

All 18 recaps were done before the event went live, making it easy for the Atlassian team to stay flexible in how they used the content. The recaps garnered positive feedback from the attendees, and Atlassian aims to make this a feature of future Team Tour: Government events.
